Most Beautiful
Number 96
December 3, 1995
O God,
O most beautiful God,
Thou hast given to me all that I should need.
Why then do I forsake thee?
To whence do I desire to go
That I willingly separate from thee?
O God,
O most beautiful God,
How wonderful that thou shalt not
Allow me to lose the way back,
I thank thee for it.
O God,
O most beautiful God,
Thou hast created me,
Thou has fed and nourished me,
Wither but to thee should I flee?
O God,
O most beautiful God,
Thy consciousness far transcendeth mine
And to it shall I attempt to rise.
Ever climbing through the valleys
'Till the mountaintop of thine eternal love
is reached.
O God,
O most beautiful God,
Humbled am I before thy Might,
Strengthened by thy Word,
upholden by thy Will.
O God,
O most beautiful God.
